Gentle child sleep support for children aged 3–10
If you want personalised 1:1 support or a simple step-by-step guide, you’re in the right place.
Hi, I’m Caroline
If you’re here, chances are bedtime has become stressful, co-sleeping has gone on longer than you planned, or your child’s night wakes are leaving the whole family exhausted. You’ve been up at midnight, asking Google or ChatGPT for solutions, but nothing seems to work for more than a couple of nights. You’re looking for support that feels gentle, realistic, and right for your child’s emotional needs, not anything harsh or cry-based. If this sounds like you, I can help.
I’m a certified children’s sleep coach specialising in helping families with children aged 3–10 years old. Unlike baby sleep coaches, I focus on the specific sleep challenges of school-aged children, offering gentle, practical and developmentally appropriate solutions that work for your family.
As a mum of two boys with very different sleep needs, I understand firsthand how exhausting bedtime battles and sleepless nights can be. I’ve tried and tested all the sleep strategies I’ve learnt about, and everything I recommend is something I’d confidently use with my own children. Every child is unique, which is why my sleep support for families is always tailored to each child’s personality, needs and stage of development.

I specialise in children aged 3–10, focusing on sleep challenges that are common in this age range: bedtime battles, co-sleeping, night wakes, fears, and anxiety-related sleep difficulties.
-
Yes! This is a really common reason why families work with me. My methods incorporate strategies based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. We work on building confidence in a structured and safe process.
-
No. I can’t stand to hear my own kids cry and would never ask a family to do that. My approach is gentle, responsive, and centred around building connection. I never suggest leaving children to cry or locking doors.

You’re not alone in feeling like this. Most families I work with arrive saying they’ve tried everything. Often, what finally makes the difference isn’t a completely new idea; it’s having a clear, realistic plan to follow, with support along the way to adjust things when needed. And for some children, the simple addition of a friendly video message from me can make a huge difference, giving them encouragement and accountability that doesn’t come from Mum or Dad.

The strategies in my guides are gentle, adaptable, and emotionally supportive, which can suit a wide range of children. That said, I do not specialise in neurodivergent-specific sleep support. I have training in recognising neurodivergence and experience working alongside families, but for tailored guidance, I would always recommend seeking support from a practitioner with specialist neurodivergent training.

My video messages are short clips of me talking directly to your child, designed to support them with their sleep issue in an encouraging way. Unlike a live video call, which can sometimes make children freeze up or feel anxious, these messages can be watched again and again whenever your child needs reassurance or reminders. They act as a friendly voice outside the home, helping children feel motivated while also explaining things from the perspective of a “sleep teacher”. Each message is completely personal to your child - there are no generic messages. For many families, these videos are a game-changer because they provide an extra level of consistency and accountability outside of the home.
